Dislocated Worker Program

The Dislocated Worker Program sets aside specific money to serve customers who have lost their jobs due to a layoff or plant closure. Individuals who believe they may qualify are encouraged to apply for WIOA services.

Upon acceptance into the Dislocated Worker program an individual would be offered the opportunity of one-on-one job search assistance, development of an employment plan to identify goals, barriers, and services necessary to achieve employment goals, and case management. Participants enrolled in this program should find the transition back to employment to be a smoother and more productive one.

In addition, the Dislocated Worker program provides the possibility of on-the-job training or educational retraining benefits when approval and funding permits. All avenues of re-employment are explored intensively before training services are considered.
