The NEXTGEN Program provides a comprehensive year-round approach to youth services which blend youth developmental activities like leadership and mentoring with those of the traditional employment and training system. The NEXTGEN Program is designed to help at risk youth, 16-24 years old, be successful at school and in employment.
Individuals who believe they may qualify are encouraged to apply for WIOA services. Upon acceptance into the NEXTGEN program an individual would be offered a mix of services that may include: tutoring/study skills training, internships and job shadowing, adult mentoring, leadership development and case management.
In addition, the NEXTGEN program provides the possibility of summer employment opportunities when approval and funding permits.
